Attempting to disable embedded Symphony - missing menu option

I found IBM FAQ 1373539 “ow to disable the embedded version of Lotus Symphony in the Lotus Notes client”(since I installed 1.3 and want to ensure that only 1.3 is used).

The first instruction is to choose the menu option File - Application - Application Management.

I don’t have an option for Application Management.

I am in the standard client. I have View, Advanced Menus selected. I have tried it from within an application (my mail, say) and with all tabs closed.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

To make the Application Management menu option visible you need to add

com.ibm.notes.branding/enable.update.ui=true

to \framework\rcp\plugin_customization.ini file and then restart your client
