To save space, I usually delete large attachments in the emails. However, very often, although Notes indicates that the attachments have been deleted, the email size remains unchanged, (and it still takes as long to load etc.). This happens often, but not always. Compacting the message does not help. In such instances, the only way it seems to reduce the email size is to resend the message to myself. Please advise.

Generally speaking, even a huge attachment shouldn’t make your email significantly slower to open. I think what you’re seeing is a MIME thing.
