Attaching Links to rich text fields in a large form

this is a general question. The form we use has several hundred fields. Only a could are Rich Text but I am getting more and more requests to allow for pasting links into the form. In the past we have avoided allowing our uses to paste links and I don’t recall why (I just recently became accountable for the coding… so there are something I am just learning). I paste a web link (intranet) that easily access the page but I have a bigger concern with pasting doc links (ie., pdf’s, doc, excel, etc). Am I overreacting or should I have a concern? is memory an issue? will this vastly increase the overall size of the form?

Hi, Attaching links to a richtext fields doesn’t increase overall size of the form much. So i guess there should not be any issues with it. The problem arises only when the files are attached as such instead of their links, in this case there is a possibility of 32k problem arising. So attching links will not create any problem.
