Are Internet Sites compatible with LDAP and IAM?

In following the instructions to Configure LDAP and the web engine, the screen shots show the Server document as it displays when you are not using Internet Sites, which can lead to some confusion (such as "where the heck is the SSL key file name?"). I found the matching fields on the Internet Sites document, but wanted to be sure there wasn't a problem/conflict with using them.

Assuming, as I do, that it is acceptable to use either, an alternate page that showed screen shots for the combined Server document and Internet Sites documents would be a good idea to avoid confusion. Is there a better place than this to provide feedback on the documentation (which is generally very good)?

Hi Ben

Your assumption is correct. You can use site configuration that specifies the server keyring file as is documented for single server configuration. The host name associated with the LDAP site needs to correspond to the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) contained the server certificate that was imported into the keyring file.

I think this is probably the best place for documentation feedback (I'm creating a task to fix this now).

Gordon, I have a few small issues I've run into while following the various step-by-step guides (such as oauth-dsapi.so being shown for Windows when it should be oauth-dsapi.dll). If you want, I can add them here as I see them, or you can let me know a good way to report them. They hardly warrant separate posts, and it would be nice to keep them in one place. - Ben

Ben, fine by me to use this post. I double checked with our doc lead and this forum is it. Appreciate the effort to help improve the product.

Thanks

Gordon
