I’ve just upgraded our servers from 5.0.12 to 6.5.1 and applied server based archiving policy.
Unfortunately, it seems impossible to have server based and locally based archiving enabled together.
In fact, we have applied 200 Mb quotas and archiving (180 days) helps users to keep their mailbox below that limit but some of them even with archiving have their mailbox growing too much.
They should be able to archive by themselves but without beeing able to change the archiving settings (fixed by policy). Both server and local have the same settings (same archive file, same server) except one can be run manually.
What i’m doing till now is applying a local base policy during working days, change to server based archiving on friday (compact -a runs on saturday) and put back local archiving policy on monday.
Any clue ?
How can i post an “official” request to Lotus to add such an implementation ?
