Hi All,
I have a 2Gb mail archive which is corrupted. I was performing an archive when other application failed and interrupt the process in the middle.
Now, when I try to enter my Archive file, I receive the error message “invalid or nonexisten document”.
I have tryied, not only accessing through “Tools → Archive” but also through opening an applciation from Workspace.
How can I do to “repair”, “retrieve” or create a new archive and do not lose that really important information.
I really appreciate your help with this.
Best Regards,

Hi Madhavan,
Thanks for your quick response.
Do you mean like go to Start–>Run–>command and then issue the commands you are stating?
My apologizes if I am wrong with my question. In case that you are talking about other “cmd prompt”, can I ask you to explain me a little more about where to issue those commands?
I really appreciate your help.
Best Regards,
Martin

On XP, the command prompt can be gotten to by Start->Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt. That raises a DOS-style window. You can also use Start->Run if you’re one of those young’uns who are unfamiliar with the DOS command line, yes. (Kids these days … don’t they teach 'em anything anymore?)

dont forget you need to run these whilst in the Application folder… ie C:\program files\Lotus\Notes
Do this by usingthe CD command in the DOS…
CD… = Move up one folder
cd C:\program files\lotus\Notes = will take you directly
Also rememded the TAB key will fill complete the command for you if you get the first bit right… ie cd lo (in the program files folder will open the Lotus Folder)

Hi Martin,
You are right…
-
From run–> type cmd.
-
move to the lotus notes folder
ex: C:\program files\lotus\notes >
-
type the mentioned commands
ex: C:\program files\lotus\notes > nfixup -F path of the nsf
similarly execute all the commands I mentioned earlier.

Thanks so much to all of you.
I have ran the commands and archive was fixed.
An error message was appearing so I downloaded the latest database design and replaced it.
It is working perfectly now.
Thanks and Regards,
Martin
