AppentRTItem into RTNavigator's Table

In LotusScript, I get the backend doc which as table in RTBody field. I successfully create the rtnav and get the 1st cell. Once there I begininsert and can easily appendText however, I’m unable to appendRTItem… I get the ‘Method Not Available’ popup error. I can move to any cell and insert text into any cell, but not an RTItem.The RTItems I’d like to insert are a graphic in one cell and a rtfield from another doc. I can append these outside the table, but not within.

Is there something I’m missing?

I’ve search again… this time found other with same issue.

If you have any budget, you might want to look into a third party rich text LSX such as our Midas Rich Text LSX, which has allowed such actions since Notes R4.01 (1997), and which has a great deal more functionality than the Notes rich text classes. It also allows manipulation of nested tables, layers and other elements that the rich text classes don’t even touch.
