we are about to start an upgrade from 5 to 6, and I was wondering if anyone had used the TeamStudio “migration Filters package” in conjunction with Analyzer. I would be interested in your experiences with the product…
is it worthwhile
is it cost effective
does it work as well as the marketing hype would suggest.

Subject: Anyone use TeamStudios “Migration Filters”
I’ve used the Migration Filters tool along with the Analyzer. The filters (which are actually search criteria that is used on the output of the Analyzer), already in the database are great. They look for new Notes 6 keywords that shouldn’t be used in your code. You will probably need to create more searches as you gain experience with migration. It’s tricky to learn how to create the searches, but a little trial and error should do the trick. Look on bulletin boards for problems other users have found and then see if you can create a filter for them. Create a test database with the problem and run the Analyzer/Filter to see if you get a report of the error.
