Alternate Client for Macintosh?

I have a Mac user who is having a difficult time with the Lotus (7.0.2) client and has asked me to find him another client.

Is anyone using other clients on the Mac other than the Lotus Client? And what is the user experience?

Thanks!

This has got be one of the most pointless threads that I’ve seen in a while.

You say the user is having “a difficult time”, but offer no help as to what the problems might be.

You admit that you’re using a beta, but then say it’s not a beta issue! Duh! How do you know it’s not a beta issue, if that’s all that the user has seen?

As for your last comment, “know what I mean”, well, no, I don’t know what you mean because you haven’t provided any information that might tell me.

Cheers,

Craig - some memebers of my Notes user group in NY run MAC clients. I will post your question and provide any feedback. There seems to be more interest from Lotus re: the MAC (and Linux) client so would hate to see your MAC user abandon ship too soon.

Rick,

That would be great! Thanks.

You know the 7.0.2 Mac client is BETA, right? Have you posted your issues in the Beta forum?

Thanks Jeff,

I don’t think this is a Beta issue though. I think it’s more of lack of satisfaction with the client in general.

That’s cool, not everyone likes the Mac version of Notes. Still if it’s issues that are fine on the PC version and not on Mac you could post on the Beta forum to see if they will/can be resolved, or if he has an intel Mac you could always go the Parallels/Boot Camp route to give him Lotus Notes on Windows.

I don’t think anything branded with the Lotus name would work in this case…(know what I mean)?

Thanks for the response tho.
