Allow Application Relay

Hi,

I have a R5.0.12 SMTP server (Server A) running to Windows. I want to allow application server (Server X) to relay to this SMTP server to route out mail to the internet. This is what I did :

Under Configuration Document/Router/SMTP/Restrictions and Controls/SMTP Inbound Controls/

Under Inbound Relay Controls

Allow messages only from the following external internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains : [ip address]

But it did not work. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

also see that application server is able to telnet your smtp server thru port 25, and see there is not any * in Deny messages from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains:(* means all)
