I have a user who has a folder in their archvie that has the ALL Documents view. In other words when she opens the folder it contains all her documents. She deleted this folder and it deleted every email she has.
I have never seen this before. The folder is somehow linked to this view? It is just a regular folder…
Anyone have any ideas?

Does that folder also exists on her Mail database?
This is very strange … as far as I know the Archive DB inherits folder structure from the mail database. We strongly discourage users to create any folders on the archive. Secondly, when you delete a folder from archive it does not remove it from mail database.
You can create a fresh test archive database via her mail database’s archive settings and try to duplicate the problem. That could give more info … unless they tried to fiddle around with folder design, this should not happen …

she used the “Add to folder” option instead of the copy to folder. Add to folder just creates a stub, whereas copy to folder creates a new copy. if you delete an Add to folder document, you delete THE document. If you delete a document that was Copied, you onoy delete the copy.
