Hi, we have just introduced Blackberry’s and being a small company rather than install a blackberry server we are using the phone companies blackberry instantmail to retrieve mail via POP3.The challenge has been in the calendars as the blackberry synchronize function entries are put into the Notes Calendar as Appointments. Notes does not permit the user to change and Appointment to a Meeting, but I have written an agent to change the AppointmentType to ‘3’ which seems to work. I can then edit the entry and send the meeting invite to others involved. Before I roll this out is there anyone who can advise if I am likely to encounter problems down the road.
I understand not being able to change a meeting to appointment because of the ripple on effect on the invitees but the other way round should not be a major challenge.
