Agent run using my name as sender!

what a big difference I can see when I had upgraded the Notes server from release 5 to 6.5.1

my agent scheduler used to send newsletter to users and the sender name was the server name, but now after the upgrade, it came out my name as the sender

Anyway how to make it send from server rather than my name? I had tried ‘run on behalf’, but I received error

‘CN=FooLeong Chong/O=Seagate’ is allowed to run Personal/Formula/Simple Agents on ‘CN=SEN-DB01/OU=S/O=SEAGATE’.

Agent will not run. Agent signer ‘CN=FooLeong Chong/O=Seagate’ does not have the rights to run this agent on behalf ‘CN=MohTee Lim/O=Seagate’

Agent scheduled to run on ‘CN=SEN-DB01/OU=S/O=SEAGATE’.

but the agent still run but with my name as sender… please help

Hello,sign the database with id of running server, that’s it (you should use the administrator client).

From this your agents should work normal.

i went to administrator client and find the database name and right click it, from the list I chose sign…

a dialog box will prompt me, now which option in the dialog box should I use? or am I doing it wrongly?

To have the mail generated from the server you can sign it by the server id. You will find explanation of this and other ND6 agent features in the Agent FAQ article called “Decoding ND6 agents”. Direct link is in FAQ#0.

I tried to use the option 3 but I hardly able to find the ‘Sign agent to run on behalf of someone else’ field in the security tab of the server document. where is the server document? is it in the property option? I couldn’t find it… pls help

It is better not use that option, it requires requires the signer to have high level of access. I recommend reading “Troubleshooting agents” document, it explains the security levels and gives you screen shots of the server document, which are part of the Domino Directory. It is not in the property of the agent, this is something an administrator has to allow.
