Agent Manager Assertion Fails On LEI Server

We have servers running large LEI processes using LEI 6.5.5. These include data transfer between Notes and Oracle, and, execution of a sequential series of agents which are kicked-off by LEI activities.

We have frequent server hangs and occasional crashes. Recently, after a hang, we had an error dialog box (red X) on the server that referred to Agent Manager. The window title was:

Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library

and contents:

I think this was displayed after a “quit” command. (The operator is on vacation now )

Any advice or workarounds? We do think that frequent reboots have been some help.

Our agents have user-defined classes with inheritance. We did find that inheritance hierarchies with more than four levels would cause crashes, so currently it has been refactored to four levels.

We have not gone to a newer version of LEI because we find that they all transform Notes empty strings “” into Oracle NULL - not a value - data, rather than an Oracle empty string. We’d also love a workaround for that!
