Agent Failover - best practices?

Does ‘The View’ article about agent fail over in a clustered environment still the best solution?

What about sending a console command ‘show cluster’ and parsing through?

Thanks. Was just wondering if someone came up with something clever recently, like with sending console commands (“show cluster”, etc)

But probably don’t want to be sending many console commands to the server anyway.

Do you do this?
