Agent does not exist problem..Please help!

Hello,

I dont know if I’m doing anything wrong. Yesterday I REMmed one of command’s which runs and agent . Agent property is “Run from Agent list” , so its a hidden agent . While calling the agent I’ve given a correct name as “(Agent Name)” .

but today when I’m trying to run , I’m getting an error “Agent does not exist”. I tried changing the agent property to Actions Menu Selection , but still I get the same error , eventhough I can see the agent in Actions Menu list.

Can anyone tell me why is it happening .

Hi Tom.

It could be a few different things.

  1. Make sure the agent isn’t a private agent. The server won’t be able to see a private agent.

  2. Check for any aliases in the name of the agent. If the agent name is “Agent Name|A_Name”, then you couldn’t access it by “(Agent Name)”. To access an agent with an alias, you should explicitly name it with the parenthesis - “(Agent Name)|A_Name”
