Hi folks,
We just migrated from 7.0.x to 8.5.2 ( server and clients) and we replaced all mailboxes design with the new one provided by mail85.ntf(we have custom made functions and they all added - so “at least part” of the replace design process is working…)
All mailboxes inherit from StdR8Mail template, which is the mail85.ntf ( we filled "database file is a master template with StdR8Mail or it was already there by default… cant remember)
The design looks like the one provided by 8.5.2, but i have an agent that was being updated in 7.0.x template and 8.5.2 during our migrating process , so older mailboxes could use the new functions…
and since we finished migrating, i stopped updating 7.0.x template.
When i went to designer to make another function , i saw that the last function was not updated. it was the same code when i quit updating 7.0.x … so i went to the 7.0.x template… pasted the code i saved in a .txt ( thank god for that), went to the admin and started replace design manually ( load design).
after it finished i realized that now everything was ok.
both templates have nothing with the other one… no relationship.
So i made another test, changed the “master template” property in 7.0.x template, loaded design in admin again… and its not updating the mailboxes ( i added some code to the mail85.ntf to see if it would update or not)
For you that patiently read this… what could be the reason for this to happen?
All mailboxes point to mail85.ntf , why it does still update from 7.0.x?
