A scheduled LotusScript agent executing a COM object to call Microsoft Excel fails to complete its workflow. During execution, following error appears on the server:
“The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application”.
This issue begins occurring immediately after installing Microsoft Windows Update KB5087424 (May 12, 2026 - Hotpatch) on Windows Server 2022 Datacenter: Azure Edition, and restarting Domino and Windows server.
