Administrator "best practice"?

Hi all,I’m hoping you could provide me with some advice on the following subject:

I’m the Lotus administrator for a company with 26 domino servers and around 500 users. However, I am the ONLY admin here, and the only person with those rights on the server.

Assuming there is no one else “in house” qualified to have admin rights, and that we have no plans to hire another individual, what is my best course of action to provide a seamless transition to a new admin should something happen to me?

I was thinking maybe lock my ID file and password in our fireproof safe, with specific instructions to contact an outside contractor who we would have already made arrangements with?

How are you all handling this? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Subject: Administrator “best practice”?

Hi

26 servers for 500 users WOW!!! You users are lucky!! ouf, 26 licences! Anyway

I think it’s a good idea to have your ID in a safe,. I would create another ID, called MasterID or something like that, and have it in a the safe too with a recertification date far away like 2030. Put this ID in your Admin group with you.

Just in case, you would have 2 IDs
