Address Lookup R5/R6 Difference

In R5, when looking up a user in the personal NAB with an Internet address, the email address is used to populate the To field. In R6 the first value in the FullName field is used. This value is automatically built and does not contain the Internet address. Does anyone know why this was changed?

Our users find this confusing and would like to revert back to the R5 behavior. We realize that an agent could be run to repopulate the FullName field, but this would not fix new entries. We would rather not modify the design of the personal NAB if possible.

Hey, that’s the way Outlook does it, so it must be right

Our users would agree with you completely. If you think it’s annoying now, try migrating Outlook address books to Notes and having the Notes migration tool put brackets around the Full Name. When a type-ahead lookup is done in a new memo, Notes doesn’t know what to do with the brackets and fails sending the message.
