I’m curious if anyone knows if the “Use Address Dialog for Choices” for Names fields, that allows users to pick from Address Dialog then → ADD, DETAILS, REMOVE, REMOVE ALL from the current field list can be adapted in anyway to use for non-Name fields at all. eg: Want two lists to present to a user so they can add a company name to a private list of their accounts. Looking for easiest / quickest solution for now. Thanks!

You can always make it a dialog list field and choose Use View Dialog for choices on the second tab. Then select the view you want to use. Or simply build a standard dropdown or dialog list using @dbcolunn for the choices if you want to simply show them one column from a view to pick from.

Thanks, But wanted the features of Address Dialog, ie: the Search to quickly find in address book, and to display selected names in Right panel and “ADD” from left panel.

Well, you could always use the address dialog, if you needed just the search and a list to add to a field on the underlying form. If you need two list fields to add/remove from in the dialog, you will have to build a dialog box form with buttons and fields to do the search, hold the data, and pass it back and forth between the list fields as you add and remove elements. It can be done, but you will need to do it manually using LS (possible with @functions as well, but LS would be a lot cleaner, I think. Essentially, you willl need two multi-value fields, and the buttons will get the selected element, and remove it from the first list, then add it to the second list. Of course, if you are using a dialog box for this, you will need to make sure you have the fields you need to save data in on the main form as well. The search button would take the entry in the text field and loop through the list field, searching for entries containing that text. Domino Web Access does something very much like this for its dialog box, but using javascript.
