We have enabled additional options for Sign Up and Log In.
- GitHub: anyone with a GitHub account can use those credentials
- Discord: anyone in either the OpenNTF or DXersUser Group guilds on Discord can use those credentials.
Sign Up
If you’ve not yet set up an account, instead of using an email and password, you can click either the “Log in with GitHub” or “Log in with Discord” button on the right-hand side of the Sign Up screen. This will route you through the OAuth dance for the relevant service and, once you’ve authenticated, it will route you back to the Sign Up screen to complete setting up your account.
Two factor authentication requirements will depend on what is set up on your account for whichever service you’re using, GitHub or Discord.
Log In
If you already have an account set up with username and password in our community, you can still log in with GitHub or Discord instead of your username/email and password, provided the email addresses used for both are the same. Just click the relevant button and when you complete the login, you will be logged into your existing account.
Passkey is also another option for logging in, if you’ve set that up.
