I didn’t attended formal training of Lotus ST 6.5.1 server and I am planning to do this but this time I need to finish this assignment without formal training and I can manage this with your help. I was assuming as we install ADC (Additional Domain Controller) in Windows 2003 or any Microsoft platform it copies every things when we join existing Domain like users, groups e.t.c……
I was thinking by joining 1st ST 6.5.1 server I will get all Sametime Users with all p/ws in 2nd Domino server as I was planning to use additional 6.5.1 server for backup of my existing server if one fails then we use 2nd server as backup and I m not using any other feature of Sametime 6.5.1 server.
1st tell me how I can add 2nd server in existing Domino and how I will register this server and from where I will get server ID file to provide for installation completion and by doing this I will get all Sametime clients on additional ADC ?
My requiremts are just wanted to keep 2nd Sametime server as backup, if 1 server fails I use 2nd server and i need your help for 2nd backup server installation.

I need your help, My problem is i am trying to install additional SameTime 6.5.1 Domino Server but it is not installating even i have copied working ST 6.5.1 server.ID file in it but it is giving message “Server can’t use same file for multiple server” Pls gudie me how to install 2nd additional ST 6.5.1 server,
I am anxiousely waiting for sollution to meet the dead line of my project,

It is not quite clear what you are trying to achieve by installing an additional Sametime server. If it is for cluster purposes (failover and/or load balancing) then there is no documented method for setting this up with Sametime 6.5.1.
Even before addressing how this may be accomplished, it seems to me that you lack a basic understanding of how domino (and sametime which is configured on top of domino) operate. I would suggest that you either do a crash administration course, or enlist some external help (more familiar with the basics of domino). You cannot configure another server with a copy of the id file: you have to register a new server (and thus create a new id file).
Regarding cluster issues - if that is your purpose: see the Administrator’s help guide for Sametime 7. I assume that the procedures outlined in this guide would work equally well with version 6 (but maybe you should raise a call with regards to this to IBM first).
