Hi All,
we are trying to install a 3rd party Mail app on an Android phone. But only OUTLOOK allows me to connect to my mail.
But the problem is: Outlook is asking for a PIN-Code (6digits) on the smartphone. All our users use pattern-login. Can someone tell me how to disable this security feature on the Domino server?
OR: is there a alternative Mail-App, which allowes to be installed besides VERSE app?
It is not supported by HCL (but it works at least if you need mail only) but you can use Android native mail app.
But the question is, how to turn off the Passcode-requirement
Hi,
If you are not using Verse app then on the Domino server we don't have policy for accessing the Domino server over IMAP/POP3 from the device. It will just honor your HTTP username and password on the Domino.
Pass-code, I believe its a requirement from Microsoft on the devices by reading the below document.

Under Frequently asked questions they have talked about this. Thank you.

To your question on the PIN requirement. For activesync clients, Traveler has security settings for Apple, Blackberry (the legacy BB10 OS) and Windows Tablet clients. For any undefined activesync client (Outlook or other), Traveler is going to apply the security settings from the Apple iOS settings (either the Server default settings or from a Domino policy with the traveler settings). So you can check those settings to see if that's where the requirement is coming from.
