Activities sidebar stopped working

Hello.

I’ve found several other complaints about the same thing, both in this forum and the one for Lotus Connections. What I’ve not found is a viable solution to the problem. I’ve tried re-installing 8.5, and this doesn’t fix the problem. Is anyone from IBM acknowledging that this problem exists?

I work for an IBM business partner and getting ready to co-host an 8.5 PoT session, and I’m sure that we will be asked to demonstrate this from within the 8.5 client.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: Workaround

I use Lotus Notes 8.5 and Lotus Connections Activities. I had the same error. I removed the content of /data/Activities folder (backup not delete!), restarted Lotus Notes client, checked server settings, logged in and everything is all right now.

Have you tried shutting down the client, renaming the ‘workspace’ directory (under the data directory) and relaunching the client?

I just tried that and it didn’t work either.
