Active Directory Sync with Lotus ADSync - Mailfielname

If I create at the Active Directory a user with the name “andrew johnstone” the mailfile on the Domino will named: ajohnsto.nsf

Now I create a User “Alex Johnston” and on the domino server the mailfile from Andrew Johnstone will be overwritten (if the mailfile is not in use).

How can I change the mailfilename during the registration from the Active Directory?

I don’t believe the file will be overwritten. Last time I worked with ADSync, it would throw an error document in the Administration Requests database. It would report a duplicate file name and a duplicate short name. Something like this requires manual intervention.

Probably is this a problem with the version 6.5.2. I can reproduce this problem several times.

Are you using a registration policy? Check that it is setup to create files in the background. That should force AdSync to use AdminP for mail file creation and AdminP should be smarter than just blindly overwriting a mail file.
