ACL Size Limit

Hello All,

Is there a way to increase the size limit of a database Access List?

Currently the db ACL is full and is not accepting further entries.

Any help is appreciated.

The limit in 8.5.x is approximately 950 names (total ACL size is limited to 32767 bytes)

If you have too many now maybe you could move the users to one or more groups, and use groups in the ACL instead.

Thanks much for your response.

Yes I found in the forum that max limit is around 950, but here the error pops up when the number is just 540.

And business doesn’t want to create Groups due to some security reasons!

Any idea why this happens?

Subject: You could have really long names, they take up more space, more characters

It is a much larger security issue to have individual users in an ACL. Much harder to remove terminated people, etc.There should never be a real name in an ACL, only groups.
