Accessing ressource DB from an ajacent domain

Hi,

I need to access a resource DB from the calendar menu “reservation”. This ressource database is on a server on an other domain.

I have cross certified both server IDs.

I have created an ajacent domain document on both servers.

I have added the name of the distant server in the calendar server field in the ajacent domain document (both A and B domains having the server B as the calendar server)

I have created a replication document for mail routing between A and B servers.

It’s still not workin’ :frowning:

Any idea?

Thanks

Sylvain

You have apretty good list of what you did.Are there any error message?

Can you open databases across domains manually via File–>Database–>open?

Besides authentication… Did you set the security for the servers?

No error message, just no entries when trying to book a room.I can manually open the DB on the distant server, and have set the ACLs to alow me to access the DB, I am going to add my server in those ACLs!! (good remark!)

Thanks,

Sylvain

Actually I meant check the security in the Server Docs. [Who can access] the server fields.

I can access the DB when opening it using my ID. I just can’t see the informations from my calandar. What enry in the sever security needs to be added?? my server?

Is the Calconn task running on the server in domain A ? This is a proxy task to get calendar information from another server.

If you choose to display all rooms can you see the room in domain B listed ? If not, you will have to create an entry in domain A directory that points to the resource reservation database on server in domain B.

The client does a lookup to the mail-in database and resource view of the directory on your home server. If the entries do not exist then the client will not show the rooms/resources. Easiest way is to copy the room/resource entries from the Domino Directory on server in domain B and paste them in the Domino Directory on server in domain A.

Hi,Thanks for those info…

The calendar collector runs on the server, but the entries in the NAB are not yet created. I didn’t add them 'cause I was afraid to create conlicts and thought users will book thoses resources on the domain A, without letting domain B aware about those changes.

If you can confirm that copying the entries from domain B to domain A, having the calcoll running, the foreign document field in with refernce to the domain B server as the calendar server, I’m going to do this stright away

Thanks again,

Sylvain
