Access to data denied

I’m receiving the strangest message “Server Error: Access to data denied”. I have manager access of the database but receive this message when attempting to delete the database.

Any ideas why? Thanks!

I received a very similar msg when upgrading Notes Client to 6.5.1. You may find that some files required by notes have become read-only files thereby causing this problem. I found that the file in lotus\nots\data\w32 were read-only. Altered this status and the problem went away,

Thanks Will 3 yrs on. Yours was the first post I found when searching forum for this error.

File marked read only at the OS level was causing the problem. Turning the read only bit off cured it.
