i have registered new users on the serverthe registered user appear on the person’s view of the server address book.
but when i try to open the address book dialog box while adding the person in any database ACL list i cannot see the names of the new users
have tried compacting and indexing the address book without success
can anyone help me on that

Do you have multiple address books? I mean do you have many servers which share a common address book and replicate between them?
If so check to see when the address book on your home server (info is in your current location document) last replicated with the server used as an admin server to create ID’s.
It might simply be that the address book you’re using hasn’t replicated to the administration server.

i do not have multiple servers or address book. it was actually working .the problem has been there from last one week or so
