We are in the final throes of a migration from Notes 6.5 to 12.0.2, and something curious has come up.
We have long had as standard “Create personal folders/views” privilege deselected in all apps for most users. One of our migrating users, though, has just noted that in his 6.5 client he has in the Create menu options to create Agents, Folders and Views (and apparently is accustomed to creating views). In 12 he does not have those options, but he is looking in both cases at the same app and of course the same ACL.
The doco reads:
If the “Create personal folders/views” privilege is not selected, users can still create personal folders and views, but the folders and views are stored on their local workstations. Deselect this privilege to save disk space on a server.
This seems to imply that the view (and folder) options should still be there in 12, but that any created will be stored locally, but that is not what we are seeing.
