If you are using the latest IBM® Lotus Notes® 8.5.1 client and mail templates, you can add an external calendar to your Notes® calendar and select the View this calendar when offline or on a mobile device option. IBM Lotus Notes Traveler can then synchronize the external calendar events to your device that have been saved for offline or mobile viewing.
Sorry just seems we have forgotten the original questions?
Can you accept meeting invitions on the iphone?
How does corporate name lookup work as it doesn’t appear to be working.
I have followed the instructions as listed in the first post but I cannot view others people calendars that I have added and set offline for mobile devices. Any suggestions on viewing other peoples calendars?
Thanks for those, I did take a good look through the infocenter but I must of missed those, I think I was looking in the 8.5.1 mostly rather then just 8.5
The name lookup works great I stopped at 3 characters rather than 4, that was what stumped me! Its fast too!
Will be great to accept invitations in the future the Sales Manager has opted for automatic acceptance of invitations, this now also gets past the offline calendar bit.
Subject: Editing Notes calendar oniPhone i not supported
This is documented in Traveler 8.5.1 “Apple limitations and restrictions”: For this release, Lotus Notes Traveler does not support Apple device users creating or modifying calendar meetings on the device
Federated calendar support is initiated by the Notes client. In the Notes client you need to include the external calendar and then tag for offline viewing with the “View this calendar when offline…” option. Unfortunately the way this works in Notes Client is it is a snapshot in time, I.E in order to update you need to select the “View this calendar when offline…” option again in the Notes client. If not working as described, please open a problem report. Also review these two topics for additional info:
