Subject: 6.51 Upgrade
If you are on maintenance, you should have received the CD’s by now, or you can download it from Passport Advantage.
Subject: 6.51 Upgrade
The answer is YES or NO which depends on whether you have a software maintenance contract with IBM/Lotus. If you do whenever there’s a new release, IBM will send you a CD upgrade package or you can download it from the IBM Passport Advantage Customer Site. However, if you’re NOT entitled to any contract, you can contact Passport Advantage Customer Service to enroll and I think you still have to pay full price for the first upgrade. Call this number 1-800-266-8720 (IBM Passport Advantage program info.) to find out more.
May this help.

You are correct that you are entitled to upgrades while under maintenance. If your maintenance has expired you can get back under maintenance, called “reinstatement”, which is less that starting completely over again with new licenses.
Q: Exactly what versions of software is a customer entitled to?
A: While a customer is under active maintenance, they are entitled to all versions that are released, whether it is a Major Release (x.0, ex: 6.0), Feature Release (x.Y, ex: 6.1), or a Maintenance Release (x.y.Z, ex: 6.1.1). When a customer’s maintenance has expired (and they do not renew), they are still entitled to Maintenance Releases for any code stream that was released while their contract was still valid, but not Feature Releases, or new Major Releases.
