I’m setting up a new server in our environment. I installed 6.5.4 full install. Then attempted to install the incremental installer to 6.5.5, but it fails telling me that:
“Installer found the incorrect version Release 6.5.4 of Notes in c:\lotus\domino. Please check to ensure this is the correct directory or use a corresponding installer. See the file UPGRADE.LOG for more information.”
The directory is correct, and I’m more than certain that I downloaded the correct installer. The LOG file has a lot of failed checksums.
I got a bit frustrated and installed 6.5.4 Fix Packs 1, 2, and 3 to see if that will help, but the incremental for 6.5.5 still won’t work.
I should mention that I didn’t configure the new 6.5.4 server before attempting the 6.5.5 install so I’m not sure if that is the problem. I was hoping to just get the install done before configuring.

Why don’t you download the full install for 6.5.5? I know it’s available because a colleague of mine downloaded it last Friday and upgraded our server Friday evening. Rob

If you move the files that fail the checksum to a different folder, then perform the upgrade, finally copy the files back in again and you should be fine.

It is there but difficult to find. If you search for the logical “Domino 6.5.5” you will only get the incremental installer. The one you want is listed as “IBM Lotus Notes Domino Multi O/S 6.5.5 eAssembly English(CR3EWNA)”. Tip: use a serach query of just “6.5.5”.
