Would anyone know what the error “550 Relaying not allowed” means in a delivery failure with a small word document attached to a valid internet address might mean? Thanks. I just sent a test email to the address and it was recieved… but a user tried earlier and got the above error, thanks for you’re help…
Subject: 550 Relaying not allowed, delivery failure error
Check your relay setting in the server configuration doc. You should have “*” in the two primary fields to stop relaying via your server. The third field is where you set who to allow relaying, “IP address and subnet”
Also check that the user sending the email is not using Outlook or somether mail client that is configure for relaying.
