We signed up with Blackberry to use there service - not installing the Blackberry server yet. One problem we had is that there is a limit on the amount of emails you can have in your notes email inbox. We had way too many. The only solution was to create a second email database that we keep cleaned out so it will continue to work with the Blackberry service and use the old email db as an archive for each user we have.
Do you still have that problem with the Blackberry software installed on your domino server? A limitation on the number of emails you can have in your inbox?

Strange that there is a “limit.” I’ve done both installs, and neither had a limit to mail in the Inbox (and some users had a lot of mail in their inbox). Especially if you have your own BES.
Even my Palm 755p, with which I use Domino’s IMAP service, has no apparent limit to the number of mail messages in my Inbox. And trust me, I have a lot of messages in there.

I believe if you manage your own BES, there isn’t a limit.

I’ve never heard from any of our users about a limit on the amount of emails they have on their devices.
The devices themselves have the option on how long to “Keep Messages” which, depending on what you set that for, I guess you could eventually hit a limit on the device memory?
