I wonder how far will Hannover cover the following areas:
Download to 123: currently there is a maximum limits, since can only download to wk4, why can’t lotus have download to latest version of 123 or even excel for that matter. (.CSV has problems when it comes to column with displayed numbers, and wrong assignment of columns).
Copy to other database: limits to around 2300 documents at one time, it is about time there is a drop down feature, allow documents displayed in views being able to be copied to other databases, limits by number of documents selected.
Export to excel / powerpoint from view, including categorised documents. currently, there is also limits when one tried to export to 123, no option to export directly to excel, unless one design script, shouldn’t lotus just have this option available?
Why can’t Lotus design a feature whereby one can assign the field / column to be exported to powerpoint, without having to write script? This will be major selling point.
View column: should allow simple arithmetical formula. Eg: if column1 refers to fieldA, column2 refers to FieldB, I can write formula in column3 as column1+column2 instead of FieldA+FieldB, coz I may ended up utilizing all columns if each column need to be based on field, rather than if the formula already defined in column.
View summary:
Allow % formula computation based on summary/ category.
Try to have build in function for incremental number/ inheritance field. Eg, if I want to buy a computer, it can easily refers to the so called “profiled document” and deduct from the existing budget, and in the profile document, it can easily give current budget balance. Having to write form, view, etc, is quite resource instensive,try to have some build in function.
Make sql query easier to define. can do in from view, say that I want to find a particular information from a column, can just type, say USA, for country column, it will automatically list down USA, rather than having to have SQL language , etc.
view index build time, currently, if doing refreshed documents, whole client is locked, any way to unlock it , just like view refreshed? anyway to make view index build-up more efficient? any way to prompt whether view index was completed or stopped halfway? any way to reduce view index view manually, to know what is consuming too big of space?
just mere suggestion, hope the lotus team can enhanced it.
