I have a new database that I created by copying another one in production. I have been working with this new one on the notes client without problems. However, when I try to access this application from the web I get ‘you are not authorized to access that database’ no matter what view or form I try to get to. However, I do not get the login screen like you would normally see when you get that message.
I have full (manager) access to the DB in the ACL, I am the server administrator with full access, so I cannot figure out what the deal is.
Anyone can shed any light on what may be going on?
Thanks
Cynthia

If you are getting “Error 500HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - You are not authorized to access that database” then make sure that you didn’t accidentally checked “Don’t allow URL open” property in the first tab of the database properties.
If it was not the case, check that “Maximum Internet name and password” advanced ACL feature is not set to “No access”.
Try to change -Default- ACL entry to Editor and see if it helps.

Howdy!
This may seem silly, but make sure http (or https) is running on the server.
Next, check the ACL of the database. What is “Anonymous”? If you don’t authenticate on the web, you’ll have the same rights as “Anonymous”. Set it to “No Access”, if it isn’t already. This should force a login prompt.
Then, go to the advanced tab of the ACL. There is a field called “Maximum internet name and password”. Try setting that to “Editor”.
You can always add a “&login” at the end of your URL which should force the login page.
There could be other things, but hopefully, one of these will help.
Take care!
