You do not have enough privileges to execute this command: dir

I tried running this command from a remote workstation running the Domino console: “shell dir”. I got the error message “You do not have enough privileges to execute this command: dir”. I am running the java console on a Windows NT 4.0 workstation. My administrator’s ID is included in the LocalDomainAdmin group as an “Administrator” in the server document, security tab. I tried adding myself individually in the Server document as a Full Administrator, saved the server document, restarted the server and tried again, but still got the same error message on the next try. Does anyone know what settings must be in place to be allowed to run shell (operating system) commands from the remote Domino java console in the Windows NT environment?

Subject: You do not have enough privileges to execute this command: dir

I have extenisively tested the Java Domino Console with a userid that is an “Administrator”. Have come to the conclusion that Lotus have got it wrong! An “Administrator” appears not to be able to issue any shell command. Going to build a “Restricted System Commands field” and see if an Administrator can use thoses commands.Jon Ward
