XSL + Javascript + Get Attribute Value

Hi I have been given an xsl web domino page. I need to get at a value in the page using Javascript. i have no idea how to go about this. They have landed it on me! No experience whatsoever! Please help. The code is:

</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match=“node”>

<xsl:attribute name=“href”>javascript:clientSearch(“Document”, “<xsl:value-of select=“href” />”);</xsl:attribute> etc etc

Now i need to get hold of the href value since it holds the UNID of the document. i then need to pass that UNID back to a LotusSCript agent. I presume I will use querystring or load a field in the next web page I load in order for the agent to get at it. Please can someone point me to the syntax I require to get the value!!! I’m pulling my hair out.

Thanks for any help given.

Subject: XSL + Javascript + Get Attribute Value

I’m a little confused about what you are trying to achieve.

The XSL you’ve been given is usually used in conjuction with an XML page/file to generate HTML or another XML page/file by transformation. i.e. The XSL describes what the system should do to the source to get to the target.

Do you also have an XML page which contains the href node, or is that what you have been tasked with generating. How does Javascript fit in with a LotusScript agent etc, or are you just referring to the Javascript statement in the XSL?
