Trying to learn xPages.I must me missing an element, probably a stupid error on my side…still I’m stuck

I created a custom control. However for the life of me I just cannot find where and how to choose a core control as shown in the tutorial page.

As there are no specific prerequisites I could find on what is necessary, I assume my full clients 8.51 Notes install is sufficient ?

Can somebody tell me what I am missing there ?!

Subject: Controls view

It sounds like you may have closed the Controls view at some point. Go to ‘Windows - Show Eclipse Views - Controls’. That should give you it.

If you’ve closed that, you will probably also have closed the Data view. Select ‘Windows - Show Eclips Views - Data’ to restore that.

Subject: you should be able to do the following…

Either drag a core control from the Control Palette on the left hand side into the custom control Page or select the Create menu and select the Core control menu and select which ever core control you wish from there.

If the Control Palette it not showing you can open it by select the Windows menu, Show Eclipse View, Controls.
