Just wondering whether anybody else has come across the following on upgrading from R5 to R6…
We have a number of Notes applications that contain functionality that allows users to export data to Excel.
During testing, in anticipation of upgrading our systems to R6, we have come across a bit of a snag: When using a 6.5.3 client, dates are written to Excel in American format (mm/dd/yyyy) despite the fact that the source data and system dates are in Australian format (dd/mm/yyyy) as required.
When using a 5 client with the same server (which is at R6), pc and data used above, the dates maintain the proper Australian format. One would think this should rule out the cause being incorrect system dates on either the pc or server.
The only difference appears to be the client.
Anyone seen this before or got any ideas for what may be the cause?
Obviously we could force the dates to Australian format before writing to the spreadsheet, but one would hope this should not be necessary and with the large number of apps we would need to address, is not really a viable option.
