Wrong color displayed

I set the font color of a views column to a customised color. (This color I put into one of the white squares of the color picker). Then I save the view and reopen it. And, voilà: the color is replaced by another one from the Notes palette.

I’ve read many posts referring similar problems. The explanations there mainly point to the computer’s settings having only 256 colors. But that’s not my problem here. I’ve true color resolution and I have tested on two machines with R7.0.2 and R6.5.3.

So, has anyone seen the same problem or some hints for me?

It’s happening to me as well - it just happens on text (on forms or views). R168/G213/B152 should be green, but shows up as a gold-ish color (R192/G194/B124 in the primary palette).

Works fine as a table, document color, section, horizontal rule, borders - just not text… really bad considering we just spent a fortune on a new logo with R168/G213/B152 as the primary color and would like to match it on occasion.

It apears to be a problem in R6 & R7

Judging from the Designer Help entry for setRGB (and setHSL), the property will always snap to the nearest legal Notes pallette entry. It very probably has to do with the way colors are represented in the rich text composite data record, since it only applies to text runs, field text, and so forth. Unfortunately, unsaturated greens are WAY under-represented on the Notes pallette (the only one, really, being 130,193,104 – darker than, but perhaps compatible with, your logo color.
