Hello again everybody.
We’re just beginning the process of looking at how to integrate Active Directory with Notes 6.5.3. and find ourselves with 10 new questions for every question that gets resolved.
Does anyone know of any good resources for making this work in a complex (multi-Active Directory Domain / multiple policy) environments?
Now, before I’m inundated, you should know that I’ve downloaded and reviewed the IBM Redbook “Active Directory Synchronization with Lotus ADSync” along with the 6.5 admin help db and must say that I’m a little underwhelmed. That redbook just bascially gets the product installed and minimally configured.
We’re finding that we got a lot of questions around things like:

Can the performance be modified to only import some information (Yes to people, no to groups, etc.) or is it always the whole shibang?

When synchronizing groups can some group types be suppressed? (not really necessary that Backup Tape Operators group make it into Lotus Domino) etc.
-
What exactly is the relationship between policies in Domino and the Active Directory hierarchy and are there any best practices for taking advantage of that? (again… reviewed the help65_admin.nsf and doesn’t seem to have as much depth as would be helpful).
I’d love it if someone could point me/us to a tutorial, formal write up, internal documentation etc.
