Worng domain appended

We’re running about 15 servers in our organization and only one is having the following problem.

When a mail is addressed to a notes user ABC/D/E/BE (residing on another server) the server appends the wrong domain name to it: ABC/D/E/BE@wrongdomain.com instead of the notes domain ABC/D/E/BE@EDS.

It gets this wrongdomain.com name from one of the global domain documents. I know for sure because I have changed the domain name in the corresponding global domain.

The question is: why does the server look at this global domain document in the first place when addressing a mail to a notes user (residing om another server).

Moreover the server only shows this behaviour when addressing the users of two different offices (and other server). Addressing all the other users in all the other offices goes fine.

The configuration of all server are identical!

The only thing I can come up with is that this server is still a 6.0 server.

Any help appreciated.
