Workspace problem in Linux with version 8.5

Hi ,

I have install Lotus Client 8.5 for Linux

Everything is working accept the workspace. I can go in the workspace but I can’t see the text on the different databases.

Ltmk if you have any idea to help me !

Subject: Unsupported linux version - perhaps?

Lotus Notes is very picky as to what Linux version you have. If - by any chance - you are running Ubuntu 9.04, be advised that the supported vesion is 8.04 LTS. Notes has too many things hard-coded to work on unsupported distributions.But still - more info should be given - what distro, desktop manager etc…

Subject: Fixed!!! For now

I have same issue since installing hardy on all my desktops. Next week i’ve fix it.Step by step

  1. Set default fonts for Notes

  2. Install additional fonts for Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install ttf-xfree86-nonfree \ ttf-xfree86-nonfree-syriac

  1. (Strange but it works)Create and set your own HomePage.

  2. Change default HomePage to Workspace, use Restore Defaults action on dropdown menu and switch to Home bookmark

PS - after all ubuntu update it needs to repeat all steps, cause fonts disapeared again :frowning:
