User has removed Workspace bookmark. How do we find a reference to workspace to reinstate it?
Subject: Under Preferences for toolbar add Workspace button
One option is to create a toolbar button to display the workpace:- under preferences > toolbar customize
-
add the “Workspace” button (if you change the sort button to ‘By description’, it will be the one of the last options in the list)
-
click OK
-
by default this new icon will be on Universal toolbar.
-
once you select it, workspace will open, from there you can right click the tab and bookmark it again (“Create Bookmark”)
Subject: Another grateful user!
Thank you for a simple and explicit solution to my lost workspace icon.
Subject: I wish IBM would quit trying to kill the workspace…
After working with users since R2 I can tell you that most are not geeks that want to design a home page. Everyone I know like Notes becasue of the workspace page. Its easy and you dont have to dig forever trying to find everything…Thanks god the guy who told how to get it back did so… Thanks
Subject: Wow I’m glad this posting is here.
IBM has burried the workspace page so deep. If this posting wasnt here I do not think it would be possible to have found how to get it back again. AND why did version8.5 decide to blow away my desktop settings in Notes…? Not the first time. this Eclipse version is psychologically crippled. It does do much consistently in its basic functions and menus come and go as they want. I’ve use Notes since R2 and this is the worst version I have had to deal with plus the fact that you guys at Lotus Notes Code Design have decided no one want the Iconed workspace when I have not met anyone that do4snt. Not everyone is a geek. In fact most of the users are not even close.
