I have a project where a database of over 50,000 records containing Word documents as an object (not an attachment) all need to be extracted.
Of course, the extract method only works with attachments and not objects, so this is of no use. And there appears to be no way in Notes (that I know of) to extract them programatically.
Does anybody have a solution? A Notes solution, a 3rd party solution, anything?
It would take years to launch each record and save them to a Word file manually.

… which might come in handy … please send a small sample database with some sample documents to the e-mail address found at http://www.vcode.no. I will run through the documents with my OLE Object Extractor and see whether it is suitable for your case or not.

This is a tool to which I have made a plug-in to extract OLE objects from documents. The solution is very powerful, since it doesn’t need the original OLE Server such as Word, Lotus 1-2-3 or Lotus Ami Pro installed in order to extract the OLE objects as files. I will save the datastream to any file.
