Word code

I need to write complex code in LotusScript to basically export to word. I need to be able to add tables, colors, fonts etc. Is there any code that I haven’t found? I did look quite a bit and didn’t find near as much as I did for Excel.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

“I need to write complex code in LotusScript to basically export to word”

Complex code for basic things ain’t a good idea…

More seriously, the easiest way is to generate an HTML file, and then to import it into M$ Word…

Subject: MS Word 2007 Uses XML

Now that the new version of Microsoft Word stores everything as XML, it would be interesting to see if the Notes XML Transform could be used effectively to export Notes Documents directly as Word Documents (to some extent) with the proper Style Sheet, without having to load OLE and use VB Script.

That’s what I will look at doing, the next time this needs to be done, here. It would be interesting to see if anyone else has already moved in the MS Office XML direction.

Create a Macro in Word to do what you desire, debug it to expose the VB Code and finally paste it into your LS Agent. It takes a bit of work to get perfect as debug is not so easy.

Also the Word constants are not recognized by LScript. However you can easily add a Messagebox MSWordConstantName to a Macro to figure it out or simply look on openntf.org for them.

MSDN has many resources on the MS Word Classes too.
