I am trying to decide which type of clustering to use on my Domino servers for failover and replication. I know for replication Domino is easy, but for failover not so straight forward. I want to be able to keep sending and receiving mail after a failover, this doesn’t seem very easy to do… Any thoughts or tips .
Thanks

Yes, it should be pretty straightforward. You can do both Windows and Domino clustering if you wanted to, or just stick with Domino.
Servers outside of the cluster are aware of the servers inside the cluster and mail to the secondary server if one fails. As for replication, setup a group with type “Servers” and put that group name in the target server field for connection documents where a non-clustered server is initiating replication with the server cluster. This way if one cluster member is down, the calling server will simply use rep with the other.
If this doesn’t answer, what part about replication and/or mail during failover are you seeing as confusing?
